A community project providing seating at Montgomery County Ride On Bus stops
Montgomery County’s Ride On bus provides an essential transportation service to thousands of county residents each day. Currently, there are over 4,000 stops in the Ride On system, and many of those have no seating. This causes a safety issue and inconvenience to patrons who must stand to wait for the bus.
We believe providing safe and adequate seating will be a meaningful and beneficial upgrade for our local community.
Our goal is to install 500 benches at the most utilized bus stops without seating.

Funding The Initiative
We estimate that this initiative will require funds totaling near $1,000,000. We plan to source this program between three parties, creating an equal partnership. We have met with State and County officials and received positive responses of their funding commitment.
We need your help to achieve our goal in raising $300,000 from our community builders.
